Burnley boss Vincent Kompany insists they have everything to play for ahead of going to Everton on Saturday.

The Clarets defeated Everton in December.

Kompany said: "We are at a stage of the season where we have still got everything to fight for and that's all that matters.

"Every Premier League game is tough. There is no such thing as an easy game for us. We just have to prepare well, make sure we are aware of their strengths and make sure that we see opportunities for us to exploit and seize them.

"I have not delved too much into the fact they are on a winless streak. It's not really relevant to me. It is the game itself that matters."

On their last seven games, he also said: "Try to win as many as you can. I keep it really simple. You can overcomplicate it with all the maths.

"If we just focus on winning the next game and do that consistently, that is the only thing. It might be a cliche but we have experienced it over two seasons at very different ends of the league. It is very much the same mindset."
