Terrion Arnold honors his mother in a unique way

Now, of course, there's a backstory to that quote.

Arnold, who the Lions selected with the 24th pick in the NFL Draft out of Alabama, and his mom were extremely close growing up and wrestled with one another, which helped Arnold develop his competitive nature.

"Even when I was a kid, when I used to beat my mom at racing," he said via Nolan Bianchi of the Detroit News. "We used to fight when I was younger, just wrestling and playing around. Like, man, I'll never forget one time, my mom kicked my tooth out because we were going at it so hard."

Detroit traded up to draft Arnold, who was participating in the Lions' rookie minicamp during the weekend. Arnold was wearing No. 0 during the rookie minicamp. He is a part of Detroit's overhaul of its cornerbacks from last season. 

The team also drafted Ennis Rakestraw Jr. in the second round out of Missouri after acquiring Carlton Davis III from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and signing Amik Robertson as a free agent from the Las Vegas Raiders.
