On Friday, the St. Louis Cardinals placed starting pitcher Dakota Hudson and first baseman Juan Yepez on the injured list.
Hudson heads to the 15-day IL with a neck strain, while Yepez goes to the 10-day IL with a right forearm strain.

Hudson made his most recent start on Thursday, allowing four earned runs in 6.2 innings of work in a loss to the Dodgers.
He's struggled on the mound for the Cardinals this season, sporting a 6-6 record with a 4.10 ERA in 18 starts.
Hudson missed most of the 2021 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery before returning to pitch games in September and October.
Yepez has been impressive during his first season in the majors. The 24-year-old is batting .254/.298/.459 with 11 home runs and 27 RBI in 62 games for the Cardinals.
To fill spots on the active roster, the Cardinals recalled outfielder Lars Nootbaar and left-handed pitcher Zack Thompson.
Nootbaar is batting .198/.271/.349 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 96 plate appearances for the Cardinals this season. He's played 98 games for St. Louis over the past two seasons.
Thompson has pitched ten games for the Cardinals this season, including one start. He's pitched 20 innings, posting a 1-1 record with a 2.70 ERA.
