Watch: Rory McIlroy Drains 50-Foot Putt for Eagle at 2024 Wells Fargo Championship

Rory McIlroy, coming off his first victory on the PGA Tour at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, entered this week in search of his fourth career victory at Quail Hollow at the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship. Through nine holes of play, he found himself with a share of the lead and sitting at an impressive -4.

After firing off three straight birdies on holes 3-5, McIlroy's front nine highlight came on the par-5 7th hole as he drained a 50-foot eagle putt. You can watch the highlight right here.

McIlroy has been playing some of his best golf of the 2024 season and entered this week's tournament as the betting favorite. With the absence of World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who is awaiting the birth of his first child, and McIlroy's history of success at Quail Hollow, conditions are certainly right for him to be in the thick of it this weekend.
