Reported last Thursday, San Diego Padres pitcher, Jake Peavy would "very reluctantly -- consider a trade to the Red Sox, Yankees, or Angels in the AL."
Last offseason there were rumors that the Red Sox wanted to dish out a trade for the Padres ace, especially after the whole Johan Santana sweepstakes fell through, but the Padres declined that any talks have been made to send Peavy across the country.
He also wanted to make it known that he wants to stay in the National League, but right now anything can go down if the right pieces are put into place, a.k.a prospects.
It's interesting that Peavy would accept a trade to the Angels, Yankees, or Red Sox and only those three American League teams. If the Yankees dealt to land Peavy...geez Sabathia, Burnett, Peavy, Chamerlain, Pettite/Hughes/Kennedy? Pretty much a re-amped rotation of three aces being thrown into the second and third spots.
Is this just another rumor or is there something potentially brewing? There's only about two months until spring training. Like what you see? Follow me on Twitter http://twitter.com/batterupbruno
